Curby, IN Star Party, Aug 2008

After arriving in KY on July 27, August 30 was my first night to join in with the Louisville Astronomical Society at their darksite located in Curby IN, about 70 miles from my home. This is a lot that is owned by LAS and has been improved with a club room, that has an area for lectures, a stove and refrig, running water and facilities. This area can be lit with normal lights or red to keep it open through out the night. In addition there are two lawn areas to camp and set up telescopes and an observatory with a roll off roof and two scopes used for astrophotography.
